Dave Friese
Pastor of Families
Dave grew up at First Baptist Church of Lakewood. He served in both the preteen and junior high ministry from 1979 -1993. He spent the next 15 years at Seacoast Community Church working with youth and families. He rejoined FBCOL as the Pastor to Family Ministries in August of 2008.
Dave graduated from Biola University and Talbot Seminary. Dave desires to embrace the heart of God and reach out to the heart of man. As he passionately seeks after God he wants to equip families to develop a life-long commitment to Christ.
He married his wife Becky in 1983. (They met while working together in the junior high ministry.) She is completing her degree as a Marriage and Family Therapist at Bethel Seminary. She is working as a counselor at Breakthru Counseling. www.breakthrucounelingcenter.com They have four children: Jason, Michael, Megan, and Kristen.
Dave enjoys sports, philosophy, apologetics, photography, the beach and hanging out with his family.
