Life Groups

Welcome!

The Life Groups Ministry at Lakewood connects people for the purpose of developing safe, challenging, healthy, vital relationships with God and with one another as we follow the example of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Life Groups devote meaningful time and attention to:

  • CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER
  • STUDYING AND APPLYING  BIBLICAL TRUTHS
  • SERVING THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
  • SHARING OUR FAITH WITH PEOPLE AROUND US

Jesus lived His life in the context of a community, and we see community lived out and taught the rest of the New Testament as well.

God's desire for His followers to experience community didn't end with theApostle Paul!

God wants us to know and be known by other believers, in fact, He has designed life so that we will grow the most when we are in community with others.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer...Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved." - Acts 2:42, 46-47

  • Our life groups welcome everyone regardless of age, gender, culture, or situation in life.
  • We have life groups both on the Lakewood church campus and off.
  • Life groups meet at least twice each month to encourage each other in Christian growth.
  • WE SEE LIFE GROUPS AS THE CENTER FOR ALL MINISTRY IN OUR CHURCH.

That's what Life Groups are all about. They are...a New Testament experience 2000 years later!
