Sports Camp

Summer 2010

Children learn so many things through sports… determination,  patience,  teamwork, self-sacrifice, and hopefully, Christ-likeness.  It is our strong desire that through a week at Sports Camp, your child will not only learn skills to help him/her succeed at their chosen sport, but more importantly, see Christ in action through our coaches and staff, and ultimately hear the good news of Jesus Christ. 

Sports Camp at 1BL includes both small group time and large group experiences, with a balance of skill development, Bible study time, worship, and celebration.  We end the week with an opportunity for parents to come and see what we’ve been learning and join in the celebration time.

Dates:  June 28-July 2 (Mon.—Fri.)
Time:  8:30 a.m.—12:00 noon
Grades:  1st -5th as of Fall of 2010
Sport Options: Basketball, Soccer and Cheerleading

Cost:  $80 per child;  $70 for a sibling
Extended Care: Extra Fee (see below)

Devotional/ take home Bible Study materials
Specialized drills, scrimmages, and tips taught by qualified, experienced coaches.

Morning Care:
Available from 7:00—8:30 am
$10 per child
Children must be pre-registered for morning care
Breakfast not provided

Afternoon Extended Care: 
Available from 12 noon— 6:00 p.m.
$60 per child
Children provide their own lunch
We will provide an afternoon snack
Must pre-register for Extended Care
Extended Care for Sports Camp attendees only

Discipline/ Expectations:
We expect appropriate behavior which includes cooperation, respect, and obedience.
We do not allow foul language, ridicule of other children, fighting of any kind, or destruction of church or personal property.
Parents will be contacted and asked to pick child up immediately should any of this behavior occur, and will not receive a refund.

Refund Policy:
50 % refund on or before June 6
25% refund on or before June 20
No refund after June 21
