S.O.S.

Serving Our Shut-ins is a vital ministry here at Lakewood. It is important to spend time lifting the spirits of those who are possibly feeling unloved, neglected, forgotten or helpless, as God has told us to visit (orphans and) widows in their distress (James 1:27).  We want them to know how much we love and appreciate them.

A volunteer for the S.O.S. Ministry commits to a monthly contact with their shut-in. Cards and phone calls are appropriate with a minimum of a quarterly personal visit.
